This course is given by Andrej Babicky, Certified Natural Perfumer, Sustainable Raw Material Extraction and Member of The Teacher's Academy.
Introduction and Overview of the Course: In this workshop we will create specific accords We will look at historically important or representative fragrances of the olfactory family. We will analyze the various olfactory families and suitable and important raw materials. We will practice the creation of the accords of the olfactory family or olfactory group including some facets. Weekly Modules Module 1: History & Case study In this module we will cover some historical aspects of relevant fragrances and analyze their composition. Module 2: Analysis and Evaluation of Natural Raw Materials We will select and analyze suitable raw materials, evaluate their contribution to the composition of the accord or fragrance. Module 3: Introduction to Formulating Chypre Accords In this module we will discuss the creation of accords, their structure and the most important raw materials. We will practice creating accords. Module 4: Evaluation and Variations on an Accord In this module we will see how to make changes to an accord, how to substitute some raw materials and create variations on the theme. Notes: The class is intensive and suitable for Advanced beginners, intermediate, advanced. After registration, the list of raw materials to be purchased will be sent. Length of the course: 4 weeks (1 module / week).
